Tokyo Highway Battle for PlayStation 1 - Opening Video

This has great memories flooding back.

When I was 14 years old and the game was brand new, I rented it at Blockbuster.  Already a long-time gearhead and Japan nerd, I was still totally unprepared for what happened next.

I popped the disc in, and as was (and still is) my habit, sat back and watched the opening cinematics. I had never seen or even heard of drifting, and live action video was still brand new to the video gaming world.

My mind was blown.

By today's standards the slip angles are modest and the production value is low, but I simply cannot convey to you how much it all impressed me as a young, awkward and pimply high school freshman. Re-watching it years later, I still feel that familiar tingle up my spine.

I'm going to go hunt down a used copy, right now.
