Road & Track Test - Autozam AZ-1

As you may have noticed, I have a thing for this car.  Open in a new tab for hi-res, easily legible version.

  1. I have an AZ-1, and it is indeed awesome. I never get tired of driving it. It is a royal pain to work on, though... Changing the thermostat took me eight hours! There are 5 in Canada as far as I know. I keep in touch with two other AZ-1 owners, and we all absolutely love our cars.

    1. Ross,

Thanks for sharing! I hope to import one Stateside someday, they'll be old enough in three years time.

Would you be so kind as to agree to a little interview about your AZ-1? I'd love the opportunity to learn more about the car and your ownership experience and share it with my audience.

      Thanks!

  2. Of course. If you'd like to see pictures of it, just search me out on Facebook (sigh) under "Ross Bruinsma." I actually went for an hour-long drive in the car today! Last year there was a little write up about my AZ-1 in Mazda's "Zoom Zoom" magazine. They are getting rarer all the time - I don't know how many are left in the wild anymore. Take care!

    1. Thanks, Ross!

If it was as nice a day up in your neck of the woods as it was down here that mustve been a fantastic drive.

Please email me at alna1287@gmail.com and I'll get to work on some questions for you to answer at whatever pace you like. Thanks again, I'm excited!

  3. Haha - you must be excited, you posted that reply 4 times! :) Next weekend I'm going to be driving the AZ-1 to a Japanese imports meeting about 4 hours away from my hometown, so I'll have some nice pictures of that as well. And I'll be in touch with you via e-mail right away. Cheers!
